Monday Morning Crowdfunding Report: December 2, 2013

crowdfunding Indiegogo KickstarterEvery Monday, We link to the crowdfunding pages of games from Oklahoma developers and other interesting crowdfunding projects from Oklahomans. Music, comics, table-top games and more. If it might be of interest to gamers and game developers we will show them off.

Here is the primary list of crowdfunding campaigns:

Funding Closed:

The Magi and the Sleeping Star by Game Equals Life. This is a fantasy themed game which the creator Adam Grantham hopes will help kids with Diabetes to better manage their disease. Unfortunately, Magi failed to reach its funding goal of $200,000 goal, having only raised $5,835. We feel the idea had promise but simply failed to garner the support it needed to be made.

Currently Funding:

BMOG: Bio-Mechanical Ordnance Gestalts by Trent Troop. Robot animals that disassemble into arsenals of 5mm accessories compatible with dozens of vintage and modern toy lines. This fun looking action figure line is seeking $19,000 to produce the first run of the two featured toys. BMOG has recently added new figures that backers will also be able to buy. They have already raised $12,843 with 11 days left.

More Songs From the Science Frontier by Monty Harper. This project is hoping to fund the creation of a music album themed around science. Would be great for kids or anyone interested in fun songs about science. Harper is seeking $10,000 and has raised $3,616 with 11 days to go.

Returning Campaign:

Amerika by Historical Board Gaming, is an alternative history board game based on the idea that the Axis armies gained the upper hand in the World War 2 and have invaded the US. This project is returning from a previouis Kickstarter. They have revamped the goal, rewards and the scope of the project. They are seeking $27,250, and have earned $13,175 with 20 days to go.

That’s it for this week. We seem to be hitting another lull in campaigns. Hopefully more will pop up over the next couple of weeks. I will be sure to keep you posted on the progress of these and any new ones that pop up.
