Every Monday, We link to the crowdfunding pages of games from Oklahoma developers and other interesting crowdfunding projects from Oklahomans. Music, comics, table-top games and more. If it might be of interest to gamers and game developers we will show them off.
For our first list of crowdfunding campaigns, we have the following:
Amerika by Historical Board Gaming, is an alternative history board game based on the idea that the Axis armies gained the upper hand in the World War 2 and have invaded the US. They are seeking $30,000, and have earned $19,172 with 5 days to go. Barring some last minute coverage and some generous donors, this one does not look like it will make its funding level.
StellarBrink by Daniel Kole is a sci-fi crafter in which you design the interior of your spaceship as you explore the galaxy. Kickstarter funding was canceled and the campaign has moved to IndieGogo. Has raised $233 with less than a day left. While StellarBrink won’t make its funding level, the campaign is using a flexible funding system and will keep the money raised.
Generation One: Children of Mars by Steven Stewart is a comic following the lives of the first generation of children born on Mars. He is seeking $10,000 and has surpassed that goal with $30,081 closing on September 5th. A great showing for this comic’s creator.
Ethics of Dragon Slaying by Andrew Reddin is a children’s picture book using a dragon slaying metaphor for teaching children morals and ethics. Seeking $5,000 and has raised $282 with 10 days to go.
Cycle by Christopher Warman is a sci-fi drama short film about a man seeking to find a way to save the life of his wife. Seeking $1,200 and has raised $616 with 11 days to go.
That’s it for this week. I will be sure to keep you posted on the progress of these and any new ones that pop up.
