While Dano Kablamo’s Kickstarter for Gnomes vs. Fairies failed to reach its funding goal, Dano is not done yet. We wrote back in July that GvF was greenlit for sale on Steam and Dano has now launched the game via the Steam Early Access program.
He also wrote in a Facebook post that GvF is coming to the Wii U as well.
My one man indie game Gnomes vs. Fairies was just released on steam early access! I’m excited because my Wii U dev kit will arrive Monday!! Wii U release is slated for late March, 2016!!
We are glad to hear that Dano is not letting his experience on Kickstarter keep him down and that he is actively working to bring about his vision for GvF. The game is a pleasure to play right now and has a lot of promise we hope will be realized over the coming months. As for what those improvements are to be, Dano explains on the Early Access page.
How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?
“As of now, the game will only have placeholder bosses. The boss battles and story development are planned to take place over the next six months. The gameplay will essentially be the same, but the character models and animations will be overhauled and remade into sharper and better versions of themselves.
The full version will feature online and local multiplayer coop, but right now the early access version is single player only.
